Who Should Attend
This is a two-hour forty-five minute (2:45) live virtual, free introductory training and is open to SAPC Network providers including:
• Registered and Certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors
• LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs & Licensed Eligible (LE) AMFTs, ACSWs, APCCs 
• Psychologists & Registered Psychological Associates
• Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists & Peer Support Specialists
• Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) & Licensed Psychiatric Technicians (LPT)
• Registered Nurses & Nurse Practitioners

 

Training Description 
The purpose of this virtual live training is to assist SAPC providers with increasing their 
understanding of Recovery Services benefits and maximizing the use of Recovery Services for client engagement and improved outcomes. The training will begin with identifying the scope, application, and requirements of Recovery Services within the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS). Case examples will be used to illustrate how providers can utilize Recovery Services throughout the continuum of treatment, including at different levels of care, transitioning between levels of care, and as a continuation once discharged. Documentation guidelines will be reviewed to assist participants in implementing Recovery Services. 
Participants will be actively engaged throughout the presentation using breakout sessions, 
polling, and open discussion. 

 

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the scope, application, and requirements of Recovery Services within the 
Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS). 
2. Formulate four (4) examples of how Recovery Services can be used to improve patient 
engagement and treatment outcomes. 
3. Implement three (3) documentation guidelines when utilizing Recovery Services.
