Downey Pride is a community-driven celebration dedicated to honoring and uplifting the LGBTQIA2S+ community and its allies in Downey, California. Rooted in values of equity, inclusion, and unity, Downey Pride seeks to create a safe, affirming, and joyous space where people of all identities can come together to celebrate who they are without fear or judgment. Our mission is to inspire visibility, foster acceptance, and build a sense of belonging through advocacy, education, art, and cultural celebration. By shining a light on the diverse voices and experiences within our community, we aim to break down stigma, promote understanding, and spark meaningful connections across all backgrounds.

We envision a Downey where diversity is not only accepted but celebrated—where every individual, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, or cultural heritage, is treated with dignity and respect. Downey Pride strives to be more than just a festival; it represents a growing movement for love, justice, and visibility. Our goal is to ensure that LGBTQIA2S+ individuals feel seen and supported year-round, with Pride reflected not only in celebration but also in policy, community development, and everyday life. As we grow each year, we continue to build bridges, cultivate empathy, and make Downey a model city of inclusion and compassion.

Downey Pride 2025 will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in the heart of Downtown Downey at Firestone Boulevard and Downey Avenue. This vibrant festival promises a fun-filled evening featuring live entertainment, local food vendors, community booths, a designated VIP area, and plenty of family-friendly activities. With free general admission and VIP experience tickets available on Eventbrite, this celebration is open to everyone who believes in the power of community, visibility, and love. Presented by L.A.
