Hello
everyone, and welcome to the ARMS Project web page!
The
ARMS Project (At Risk Men's Services) is part of the
Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA).
The main focus of our department is to help reduce the
high HIV infection rate among men who have sex with men,
and among men who use needles and have sex with men.
We
host fun, information-packed ARMS groups in which
participants can gain and share valuable knowledge.
In the course of five brief meetings, we cover a broad
array of
topics: risk behavior, rapid testing, HIV &
STDs 101, addiction and HIV, and safer sex. Participants
can also win gift certificates for Target, Ralphs, McDonald's,
Starbucks, In&Out, AMC movie passes, and more.
With games and prizes to be won, and a charming,
enthusiastic staff --a good time is had by all.
Groups
are held all over the San Gabriel Valley,
Whittier, Pomona, East Los Angeles, Downey and Bell Flower.
